Candidate Hyde, Jr. has been particularly struck by reports indicating that several survivors of sexual abuse, seeking vital assistance and redress related to their CVA cases, have reportedly attempted to connect with the offices of Congresswoman Elise Stefanik and Congresswoman Claudia Tenney. Shockingly, according to individuals who have spoken with the campaign, neither Congresswoman’s office nor their staff has proactively reached out or engaged with these survivors. Furthermore, there are accounts of survivors looking to Congressional review of the State Attorney General’s Office for perceived mishandling or delays in these CVA cases, yet again reporting a lack of engagement from their federal representatives.
